Draft financial accounts 2022

Dear shareholders,

Please find the draft annual accounts of 2022 attached. These are set to be approved and finalized in the company’s (non-public) general assembly on April 12th. The finalised annual accounts will be shared post-meeting, please allow us to elaborate on the key metrics in the meantime.

2022 was the year in which we closed the third and final cohort of the accelerator program. A total of thirty-one startups joined the portfolio over the course of three years. By the end of 2022, the company had received a stake in 29 of these startups; two more startups issued their shares to us in 2023.

As explained in the IM of the program, the investments made by the shareholders are used to accelerate the startups in their pre-seed stage. Once they've experienced significant growth (generally until the Series B round), we exit the startups and investors benefit from the proceeds of this transaction. This means the company is 'designed' to make an accounting loss in the first years of its existence, as was the case in 2022 (result of -€226k).

Last month, we also published the Report for 2022 with details on the portfolio and updates on the portfolio companies, their progress and other relevant statistics. This file can be found on the documents section on Nx'change.

We hope this provides some context to the annual accounts. Please do not hesitate to contact our Investment Director Joey Moreau (joey.moreau@startupbootcamp.org) if you have any questions or simply would like to catch up.

Kind regards,

The Startupbootcamp team

Aankondiging van het SBC FinTech & CyberSecurity Cohort III

Beste aandeelhouders,

Announcing SBC FinTech & CyberSecurity Cohort III

Dear shareholders,

We hope all is well with you and your beloved ones.

Since successfully closing the IPO of the SBC Fintech & Cybersecurity Program in 2019, we have had the luxury to enjoy your active participation during the scouting-, selection- & acceleration process for the portfolio startups. Our latest Selection Events brought us from [1] the State of Fintech to the [2] Funnel Assessment that eventually led us to the [3] Selection Day events.

The Selection Days that took place over the course of this week were an even more energizing, inspiring, and engaging experience than we could have hoped for. The 20 participating startups did an amazing job which made it extremely challenging to select the final 10 portfolio startups.

After an extensive jury deliberation, for which over 10.000 data points were collected and taken into consideration, we have decided to add an extra startup to the Startupbootcamp FinTech & CyberSecurity 2022 Cohort. It is therefore with pride and joy that we’d like to announce to you the final 11 startups that will join the SBC Fintech & Cybersecurity program portfolio. Hereunder an overview of the selected startups:
