Official Announcement of Startupbootcamp Bold Action (Mobility & Transportation) Cohort I

Startupbootcamp, one of the world's leading startup accelerators, announced 11 teams that will participate in the first cycle of its Mobility and Transportation Program, which is part of the Bold Action initiative.

Via the Mobility and Transportation Program, Startupbootcamp and its co-investors invest in startups building Connectivity, Smart infrastructure, and Asset Servicification solutions.

The program is tailored to the ever-changing landscape of the mobility and transportation industry, and designed to empower startups and scale-ups who are aiming to disrupt the industry with their solutions.

The selected teams were part of the top 20 teams pitching during a 3-days digital event - Selection Days. From thousands of applications, twenty startups were invited to pitch their idea to investors, industry experts, mentors and partners of Startupbootcamp. After concluding the third day, eleven startups were chosen to join the program and Startupbootcamp’s Bold Action investment portfolio. Hereunder an overview of the selected startups:

Zilch - An e-commerce delivery solution for fast, convenient and affordable fulfillments.
Alamance - Providing real time, hyperlocal solutions to road condition monitoring using IoT & sensor fusion technology.
Gelectric - Providing electrical solutions to vessels to help the maritime industry become more sustainable and greener.
Voyship - A crowd shipping platform that helps travellers to earn more money by helping others to ship products.
Gluebus - Provides bus trips to local night events by leveraging an AI algorithm to plan routes and pool tickets.
Ecobeam - A decentralised P2P platform that helps car owners to earn more money through efficient resource allocation.
Karocharge - An online platform that facilitates the renting of private and public EV chargers.
IndieDrinks Direct - A cloud-based platform that optimizes the supply chain by reducing the number of trucks on the roads.
Sealivery - Sealivery uses geolocation technology to bring people on boats anything that they need at a time that's most convenient to them, preventing lots of back and forth commutes.
Bufaga - A Smart device that can be mounted on any vehicle to help reduce the environmental footprint of company fleets in cities.
Regbes - Autonomous charger units that are located at ports and on ships, focusing on ferries.

The program will provide guidance on every aspect of efficient business building, from product development to fundraising. During the program, the startups are provided with direct access to mentors who have decades of experience in their industries, a network of potential partners, and access to a pool of investors relevant to their specific business case.

The end of the program is marked by Demo Day, the final event where the selected founders pitch and present their startups to an audience consisting of mentors, partners and investors. Official Investor Communication - Closing of SBC Bold Action Tranche I

Dear shareholder,

I hope all is well with you.

First and foremost, as you might recall, the targeted closing date of SBC Bold Action Tranche I was set for May 1st, 2022. It is with pride, pleasure, and gratitude to you and all the other investors that I’d like to share that we successfully closed the tranche according to the timeline.

Secondly, I’d like to thank you again on behalf of the whole Startupbootcamp team for your trust, your participation, and your partnership. I’m looking forward to working together with you over the coming years!

Last but not least, I’d like to share some practical information with you:

1) Yesterday afternoon, the notarial deed and administrative work around the closing were finalized. The depositary receipts that represent your stake in SBC Bold Action have been issued and are now registered in your name. As of January 1st, 2023 - after closing the 3rd tranche - these receipts will be tradeable on the Nx’change platform.

2) We will be starting the scouting process for the 1st cohort next Monday, this means that later this year the first 10 startups will already be added to the SBC Bold Action portfolio. You'll receive more updates about this in the coming weeks.

3) Aside from starting with the scouting- & selection process, we're also starting the funding process for the 2nd tranche of SBC Bold Action. We’ll keep you posted on the progress and status of this cycle as we go.
